This site celebrates Steve’s coast-to-coast hike through the Pyrenees (on the GR10) and the book he wrote about it. View the site

This bilingual English-French site is dedicated to the Corbieres district in the south of France - with its wine, its countryside and holiday activities. The site was first put on line in 1997. For its tenth aniversary we have given it a new look, using the content management system SPIP. View the site

We created this dynamic news site for a business promoting green products and ethical lifestyle choices to the UK consumer market. The site is driven by a content management system (SPIP) which allows the company to update the pages itself, thus reducing running costs to a minimum and ensuring that the news is always up-to-date. When Glenn Cooper asked us to create this site he said “I would like something elegant, like my apartments”. The apartments are furnished with antiques, in a classic style which may no longer be fashionable but, for Americans, is redolent of the French sense of style. Hence the damask background and the fleur-de-lys motif. View the site

A site presenting a selection of luxury short-term rentals in Paris and Provence, for business or leisure travellers. It was important to promote the Haven in Paris brand with a presentation that emphasises the quality of the apartments. We worked from a very precise layout provided by the client's designer. Behind the scenes, a database enables Haven in Paris staff to manage reservations and keep all the property and availability details up to date. View the site

This is a site about soil-related subjects, with a series of sub-sites. Each subdivision has its own identity but we have used a single overall look so that the pages are clearly seen to be related. Currently in Spanish and English, the sites are being translated into French. View the site

A small site for an association which is trying to help preserve the traditions of these valleys in the high Himalayas. The red and gold colours are inspired by the costumes of the young monks. View the site

A site for a company specialising in design audit. We were asked for a clean modern look and a new logo. View the site

Catherine Thouroude wanted to advertise her courses on the Internet. We have created a small bilingual site in French and English, in a friendly yet professional style. We also did the translation. Thanks to this site she has been able to find new clients after moving from one end of France to the other. View the site.

An online bookshop stocking over 300,000 titles, and also
offering hundreds of free historical articles, timelines and
event listings. Archetype developed the entire project, from
initial specification in January 2000 to the final site, launched
in October 2000. Almost all the content is stored in a database
which is maintained by History Bookshop staff using an Access
application developed by Archetype. They can also add articles
and timelines using standard templates. These content management
features, along with automated stock updates from the warehouse
systems, ensure the information on site is always accurate
and up-to-date. View

Archetype has been responsible for development and maintenance of
the website for French state services in the département of
the Aude since 1999. During that time the site has almost
tripled in size, from about 600 pages to 1,700. In January
2002 we gave the site a complete facelift. View the site.
During 2000 we were also given responsibility
for creating an intranet to connect the 4000 employees as
part of a pilot scheme financed by the French government.
Since then we have added numerous new collaborative tools to the site,
to facilitate information management, document sharing, and online groupworking.

This site is a portal for state services
in French Polynesia. Archetype won the contract to design
and maintain the site against local competition. We work very
successfully with the staff of the High Commission, in spite
of the 12-hour time difference which means we rarely get to
speak to each other! View the site.
During 2002 we also developed a
pilot intranet project to faciliate communication between
often far-flung employees (French Polynesia consists of over
a hundred isalnds scattered across an area of ocean the size
of Western Europe!).

This bilingual site showcases the small village in southern
France where Archetype's French office is. It includes an
online shop with secure payment facilities where visitors
can buy the local Corbières wine, and also presents the holiday
rental homes in the village. Our brief was to produce a colourful,
lively site, which reflects the atmosphere of the village.
Because life in this rural setting revolves around the vinicultural
year, we chose to vary the colour scheme and pictures according
to the seasons. View the site.

A simple, low-budget site promoting the 17 holiday houses of
another rural district in the High Corbières. We worked from
the client's existing brochures, maintaining their visual
identity. The site has been enormously successful in generating
inquiries, with over 60% of bookings coming via the site.
